Below we have put together some basic information on why you might want to consider Real Nappies, how to get started and how best to find your way around our website. There’s also a brief description of some of the services that are available to current or potential Real Nappy users. Enjoy!

Our website contains a great deal of really useful information and we've tried to make it as easy as possible for you to find out exactly what you need to know. 

Just take a look at the links on the menu to the left and you'll see the different categories we've created, each one designed to give you the best, most up-to-date and impartial information on each given subject.


Wondering why you should bother with Real Nappies? Well, we'll tell you! You could be saving money and the Environment at the same time! Not only will the planet thank you, your baby will too because Real Nappies are very comfortable and come in a range of styles to perfectly suit the needs of you and your baby.

Our Which Real Nappy? section talks you through the different Types, Sizes and Fabrics that Real Nappies are available in, this will  help you decide which one is best for you and your baby.

Once you've decided on a nappy it's time to move on to the Using Real Nappies section, here you'll find advice on using nappies at home, which accessories can make your life easier and details of laundry services.  There's also a link to our fantastic Guides section, with simple, practical advice on everything from DIY nappies to potty training.

Events and Nappuccinos

If you have only seen Real Nappies on the internet and would like to get your hands on a few in order to get a better idea of how they work, you might want to attend a local event.  Local Real Nappy groups and volunteers often run "nappuccinos" which are informal coffee mornings, enabling you to find out more about using Real Nappies. 

Local nappy events are sometimes run by agents or advisors who either work for companies that sell Real Nappies or operate independently.  The agents and advisors are nearly always mums who have used Real Nappies and have a wealth of knowledge which they are happy to share and generally offer a very wide range of nappies.  They can often be the best place to start and will usually come to your house to give you a demonstration.  To find an agent or advisor near you, search our Nappy Finder.

Trial Kits

If you are pretty sure that you want to use Real Nappies but would like to give them a go before you spend any money, it might be possible for you to borrow or hire a trial kit.

Trial kits allow you to test a whole range of Real Nappy types and styles at home on your baby and help you make the best decision on which nappy to use. You can search for your nearest trial kit host with our Nappy Finder.
