Trial Kits

What they are

If you are pretty sure that you want to use Real Nappies but would like to give them a go before you spend any money, it might be possible for you to borrow or hire a trial kit.

Trial kits allow you to test a whole range of Real Nappy types and styles at home, on your baby, helping you to make the best decision on which nappy to use.

Don't forget that if you have any questions while trialling your nappies you can email us or give us a call on 0845 850 0606

Different Types

Trial kits are sometimes offered by Local Authorities, local community groups, retailers or advisors.

Local Authorities and Community Groups
Some Local Authorities and community groups provide a trial kit service to local residents within their area.  These will generally be nappies that you can borrow for a period of time before returning them for the next person to try.  There might be small hire charge and you may be required to give a deposit but some schemes are completely free!  Usually there is a set range of nappies but schemes allow you to choose.

Retailers:
Some retailers  also have trial kits available and these are generally a small sample of brand new nappies that you would buy.  The kits might be offered at a discounted rate or depending on the scheme the retailer might offer to return your payment if you make a further purchase with them.  This is sitll a great way to find out more about the different types of nappy and whether they suit you and your baby, without committing too much money.

Advisors:
Nappy advisiors often work in a local area on behalf of a retailer or independently.  They are spread out all over the country so there is a good chance that there is one near you.  Advisors sometimes work with Local Authorities to offer trial kits or they might have put together their own.  Once again there might be a small payment involved but as advisors have often used nappies themselves you can get access to a very personalised service with demonstrations and in-depth advice.
