Real Nappies Hit the Road!

19/05/2010 10:25am

Real Nappies will take to the road thanks to a new partnership between Go Real and Enterprise.

Enterprise, one of the leading providers of public services in the UK, is in the process of developing an educational road-show vehicle to assist their Local Authority partners in delivering positive waste management and recycling messages.  A key element of this is promoting the use of Real Nappies, which is where Go Real will be offering assistance.

Kelly Miller, Business Development Manager for Enterprise said:
“We are delighted to be working with Go Real, and highly value their expertise on the subject of Real Nappies.  In return for their advice and resources, we are happy to be able to support the work that they do to promote Real Nappies across the UK.”

Enterprise delivers public sector environmental services to a range of Local Authority clients. They are currently responsible for providing waste collection in the London Boroughs of Islington, Haringey and Redbridge, City of London, City of Liverpool, Manchester MBC, Wolverhampton, Gloucester, Slough, St Albans, East Herts, Dartford, Maldon and Solihull.

Enterprise and the members of the public that they meet, will be able to access high quality, independent information on Real Nappies as well as having access to resources such as promotional materials and samples of nappies to facilitate their waste and recycling road-show. The road-show will help to demonstrate how Real Nappies can help parents save money and reduce their waste whilst also dispelling some of the myths surrounding washing, the environmental impact and convenience.

Go Real’s CEO Jon Rolls said:
“Enterprise’s recycling and waste road-show is a great platform for promoting the use of Real Nappies and as a not-for-profit organisation the support that Enterprise is demonstrating is invaluable. We rely on the support of members and partners and so we are always keen to develop new relationships to help us spread our message.”

The Enterprise road-show vehicle will attend its first event on the 12th June at the Haringey Green Fair.  For further details of the project, contact Bill Reay bill.reay@enterprise.plc.uk or visit the website, www.enterprise.plc.uk.  For more information on Real Nappies or Go Real visit: www.goreal.org.uk or call 0845 850 0606.
