West Berkshire Mums ‘Go Real’ with Free Nappy Trial Service!
14/02/2012 12:59pmParents across West Berkshire have a fantastic opportunity to sign up to use a completely free real nappy trial made up of over 20 leading brands of nappy. Parents can borrow a complete set of real nappies, all the extras and useful information, with no cost for a two week period.
The trial allows parents to see whether real nappies really do suit their baby and lifestyle, before they purchase any for themselves. This programme is run by West Berkshire Council and their recycling and waste contractor, Veolia Environmental Services.
Local mum Claire Cable from Beenham, who recently used the real nappy trial with her baby, and has now converted to cloth commented: “The free trial let me really give all the latest brands of real nappies a go, and I have now brought real nappies of my own to use. I think mums will be surprised just how easy cloth can be, and how it can save your pennies too!”
Stacey Dornan, a Hungerford resident who has just started to use a trial for two weeks, said: “I found out about the many benefits using cloth can have for both me and my baby at a Nappuccino event and definitely wanted to use the trial to give them a go and find out which make works best for us.”
For further information or to sign up to use a free two week nappy trial, please contact West Berkshire Council’s Customer Service Team on 01635 519080 or email customerservices@westberks.gov.uk
Alternatively mums and mums-to-be can come and see a wide range of nappies and speak to a member of the Waste Awareness Team at the Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre on Wednesday 7 March from 11am - 12.30pm.
