Birmingham City Council held a Real Nappy celebration event on Tuesday 5th May at Cocks Moors Woods Leisure Centre.  There were over 120 parents, babies and young children enjoying the fun of the bouncy castle, soft play area and entertainers.

An amazing fashion show of babies and toddlers wearing real nappies was performed by the local Lollipop agents.  There was a vast array of real nappies to look at and information and advice on hand for all parents interested in finding out more about how economical and practical real nappies can be.

There were many competitions being run for parents to win a lifetime supply of real nappies and lots of special offers for Real Nappy Week.

The event was deemed a great success and as a result many parents have enquired about how they can save money and the environment by using real nappies.

The Clean Green Nappy Machine, went one step further than organising an event... they opened a shop!!   They spent Real Nappy Week 2009 moving into their new shop in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. The first and only dedicated real nappy shop in the country - as in an outlet you can actually walk into and buy things from. Running as an online company for nearly three years, they were delighted that with the launch of the shop they're now able to meet customers and show them how lovely the real nappies they stock are!
